How to record a payment in an invoice?

In InvoiceOwl Website, you can record a payment from different places. Here is the list of of where you can find record a payment option.

  1. You can find "Record a Payment" option by clicking on dropdown menu of any invoice from Invoices Listing page
  2. You can find "Add a Payment" option in invoice preview detail page
  3. You will also find "Add a Payment" option in payment history of any invoices.

To Record a Payment, please follow below steps.

  • Add payment details such as AmountDatePayment Method, and Note.
  • You can turn ON or OFF Send a receipt option to send reciept of payment record to the client.
  • Tap on Preview Receipt to get a preview of receipt in a registered email.
  • Click on Save button to record a payment.
